Call Mark Haaman at Wallkill, or Jason Spahr. All computer departments have been transitioning up there, I think IT is the only computer based department left in BK. Overseer is John Ekrann. Ask them how many KEY people have degrees in their Computer departments.
Legal dept. Call Mario Moreno.
Hospital Information Services. Call Trent Lawler
Writing department. Call Gene Smalley
etc.
Any Jehovah Witness who thinks the society is full of High School graduates with Holy Spirit have names and departments to call to see how many bethelites are college and university trained within those departments. The list goes on. But start here and be suprised at the hypocrisy. There are many with legal, medical, engineering, english, computer etc. degrees who are key in all functional departments.

Why Do Christians today need a "governing body" of elders to be their spiritual "teacher"?

Most prophets were assigned to warn the leaders of "Jehovahs organization" at the time. Israel was Gods chosen nation until Jesus' death, as they believe, and the prophets during OT times came to serve as a warning for the Kings and 'em to get theirselves together or await destruction.
The GB loves to portray themselves as the prophets and the rest of Christianity are the corrupt leaders perpertrating as Gods channel. And Witnesses fall for it, never thinking the GB could be capable of their heinous dishonesty. So when any brothers speaks out about the incoorect teachings, shady history, and flat out lies, they are spiritually executed, slandered, and ignored, and the GB and their henchmen prove who they really resemble.
Those who nd up leaving because of moral conscience = Jeremiah
GB = Israels leaders
The only difference is we walk away, we are not divinely commissioned to "Ehud" those men.

When one gets accepted to bethel fulltime they sign documents that their bodies belong to the society after death. Once they die, that is where they are buried unless family seriously protests. Even when I described the "cool" nickname they gave the place to personal tour groups, i thought it was stupid because half the bodies there were other sheep.

False prophets or simply wrong expectations?
by leaving_quietly inin a talk i heard recently, the brother was talking about how jws had certain expectations about the end, acknowledging 1914, 1925, surely before 1935 and 1975, then we learned that it's not in our jurisdiction to know jehovah's timetable.
then he said, some say that because we made those mistakes, some say jws are false prophets.
he said that was "simplistic thinking".

Kinda weird they didnt counsel the friends for living with a date in mind.
Nevertheless, it was the fault of the friends for believing and trusting too much their interpretations of scripture (according to them) Solution? Stop believing and trusting their interpretation of scripture.

8) Temples, synagogues, etc have been replaced with KingdomHalls
9) Every morbid scripture will not only have a second fulfillment, but a third and fourth. Will be fulfilled at the end of thousand year reign and in paradise when people commit sins, respectively.
